Outreach activities for industry, clinicians, national strategy and school students

Bikramjit has contributed to (i) the learning of industry professionals and clinicians, and also to (ii) national strategy in the area of structural materials:

  • Delivered one day seminar on “Bioenegineering-based strategies to modulate cell functionality and to combat infections: New perspectives to old challenges
  • Delivered two courses (each of 20 hours)- a) polymers; b) biomaterials and implants for corporate professionals, TATA Steel Ltd. (2019 – 2020).
  • Delivered a lecture for clinicians, “Tissue Engineering; Case Study- 3D printing in healthcare” at the “Certificate Course in Healthcare Technology”, a joint course organized by IISc, Indian Institute of Space Technology, Association of Health Professionals of India, and Public Health Foundation of India, 2021.
  • Invited Panelist, “V9H1S2 – Structural Materials – High-Performance Ceramics and Composites” at the Vaibhav Summit, Structural Materials Session (virtual), Government of India, 7 October 2020.
  • Multiple Invited Lectures, “Samajeer Janyo Vigyaan”, Vigyaan Parikrama III, Science Workshop for Underprivileged School of Children, organized by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research and Education and JBNSTS, Kolkata, 2018-22.

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs):

Bikramjit offered a number of courses under the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) program, which are watched over 10,000 times globally and also delivered lectures for the Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) initiative of Indian Government. NPTEL is the largest repository of engineering courses for continuous learning of students/inexperienced teachers in remote institutions around the world (transcripts also available for students with hearing disability).
